Benefits of Zero-Carb - The Challenge!

Benefits of Zero-Carb - The Challenge!

One of the members of our Discussion Forum held a 100-word challenge to see who could come up with the best description of the benefits of a zero-carb diet. I thought these attempts were fabulous and decided to share them with the blog today:

(These are not presented in any particular order. This is just the order in which they were submitted)

Carbs drive insulin which drives fat storage. If you want to avoid being fat avoid carbs.

ALL carbs drive insulin…

HUNGER is the reason 98% of all diets fail to keep weight off permanently!
Hunger is the enemy of all low calorie diets.
Hunger is the outward signal of internal starvation caused by the oversecretion of insulin, a fat storing hormone.
Only one way of eating slashes hunger to the core.
Zero carb - a way of eating that pacifies the enemy!

All hormones, when in balance, regulate the mobilization of fatty acids, but, only, elevated insulin levels cause fat accumulation. Avoiding carbohydrates will stop the damaging effects of insulin, satiety and weight loss will be promoted, and a generlaized euphoric feeling arises.

Carbohydrates drive insulin drives fat accumulation. Cutting carbohydrates cuts insulin cuts fat accumulation. Carbohydrates drive hunger. Cutting carbohydrates cuts hunger. Carbohydrates drive diseases. Cutting carbohydrates cuts diseases.  Carbohydrates drive fat accumulation, hunger and diseases. Cutting carbohydrates makes us lean, satisfied and healthy.  Incidentally, fat accumulation, hunger and diseases are Big Business. We could say that carbohydrates drive the world economy.

Dietary carbohydrates raise blood sugar, which raises insulin, which stores the elevated blood sugar as fat, causing low blood sugar, which stimulates hunger for more dietary carbohydrates. Additionally, since elevated insulin blocks the release of fat from fat cells, carbohydrate intake prevents the body from burning fat. Zero carb nutrition is the cutting edge way to break this vicious cycle of weight gain. A high fat eating plan with zero carbs and moderate protein dramatically reduces insulin levels, allowing stored fat to be mobilized and burned for energy, all while reducing hunger, stabilizing blood sugar levels, and improving overall health.
